On Saturday, Oct. 29, Montrealers took to the streets in protests of the human rights violations in Syria. Protestors held democracy flags in the air and chanted for the ouster of President Bashar al-Assad, and for the end of the violence and the killings. The march began near the Norman Bethune Statue and ended at Philips Square.
